The layers toolbox provides an easy-to-access palette for adding layers to a project. These can include external assets like videos and images as well as layer types define within the Creative Studio like shapes and text.
To add a new layer:

Click on the icon associated with each asset type.

Select the layer to add among the following:

Image: Imports an image file (.jpg, .gif, .png, .svg, .webp) to the project and adds it to the stage. For more details, see Image Layer.

Video: Imports a video file (.mp4) to the project and adds it to the stage. For more details, see Video Layer.

Shapes: Creates a shape (oval, rectangle) on the stage. For more details, see Shape Layer.

Text: Creates a text area on the stage. For more details, see Text Layer.
Each added element will create a new layer in the Layers Panel.
