In the following table, you can find an overview of the ad format and its features, and a link to a build guide. The build guide describes in detail how to build and implement the ad format.

3D Glider The 3D Glider is an immersive Rich Media enabled unit that transforms the homepage into a floating 3D element which unveils advertiser’s content that seemingly resides beneath the page. Upon user interaction, the web page transitions into a 3D plane and animates downwards to reveal content. As users navigate to different sections of the ad, the homepage animates across the browser unveiling additional content.

3D Interactive Panel The 3D Interactive Panel format is based on an in-page expandable unit with a floating auto-expand panel. When the viewer initiates the Interactive Panel, a portion of the MSN home page animates in 3D and flips to reveal the ad content on the other side of the “wall”. The Interactive Panel has two walls of content: one with 3D tiles that each can have its own content, and one with a full-panel video.

Yahoo! Arch

The Yahoo! Arch is a clickable background image "arched" over the Yahoo! editorial content, served out of a 300 x 250 Polite Ad. You can use this format if you want to add more branding area for your ad on a Yahoo! home page. The background loads automatically upon a user's first impression, then remembers the previous state when the user revisits the page.

Developers can customize the background tooltip for when the user mouses over the background, and the developer can specify a background color for the page to fill the space that the Arch does not cover.

The publisher site maintains links that open and close the background and replay the Polite Ad.
