Peer39 offers verification reporting for campaigns and strategies that target Peer39 categories pre-bid. A verification tag, placed in the relevant MediaMath creatives, tracks impressions, viewability, clicks, and additional verification data; this data appears in the Peer39 Verification dashboard and Verification report.

This procedure includes all of the required steps to apply your verification tag in MediaMath.

Important

Important: You should only apply a verification tag to a creative that is associated with a strategy that targets Peer39 data.

The following is an example of an impression-tracking tag:

Procedure

Important

Important: Before you begin, retrieve the Peer39 Verification tag from Sizmek Advertising Suite. (To generate the tag, see Generate a Verification Tracking Tag.)

  1. You can apply the verification tag to the relevant creatives in the following ways:

    • Automatically apply the tag: Use the Creative Tag Manager App on MediaMath. When you use this app, the tag is automatically applied to the selected creatives.

    • The creatives that are served as 3PAS will have the Verification impression tracking tag added automatically under the creative tag code.

    • Creatives that are served by T1 will have the Verification impression tag added automatically in the 3rd Party Tags field.

    • Manually insert the tag: Insert the Verification tag in the creative in the proper location, as shown in the T1 served creative or 3PAS creative examples.

  2. For click tracking in MediaMath, add the Verification click tracking URL as follows:

    Important

    Important: Peer39 Verification can only report clicks by verification metric when both click tracking and impression tracking tag are applied to the creative.

    • For creatives that are served as 3PAS, add the Click tracking tag in the Ad Tag Code in the creative.

      Note: To ensure proper ad serving, click tracking, and reporting, you must insert click tracking and cache busting macros into the ad tag source.

    • For creatives that are served by T1, add the Verification click tracking URL in the Click-through URL field before the landing page URL.

    Important

    Important: You can only insert click tracking tags manually.

  3. Provide the IDs and names for your MediaMath campaigns and strategies to your Peer39 contact. This mapping information will be used to present campaign and strategy names in verification reporting. (The following table contains sample data.)

Important

Important: The customer service manager establishes the initial mapping when the tag is first generated. Afterwards, you should add new campaigns/strategies using the external media plan in Sizmek Advertising Suite. For more information, see Set up an External Media Plan.
