Configure and Implement Tag Manager with Adobe Launch

Tag Manager can be integrated with Adobe Launch.Tag Manager can be integrated with Adobe Launch.

Procedure
  1. Sizmek customer success manager configures and generates the Tag Manager code in Sizmek Ad Suite.

  2. Sizmek customer success manager sends the Tag Manager code to the Adobe Launch administrator.

  3. In Adobe Launch, the administrator does the following:

    1. Open the account.

    2. Create a new Rule.

    3. Type a name for the rule.

    4. Under the IF section, add an event called Core - Page Bottom.

      Note

      Note: Leave the Conditions section empty so Tag Manager will always fire without condition.

    5. Under the then section, add an Action called Core - Custom Code.

    6. Select language HTML.

    7. Click Open Editor and paste the Tag manager code.

    8. Save the Event settings.

  4. Assign the new rule to the relevant Library and Environment .

  5. Follow the internal approval process within Launch to verify that the Tag Manager is fully approved and published to live status.

Fire Tag Manager on Clicks and Buttons within Adobe Launch

In Adobe Launch, the administrator creates a new event based rule.

Procedure
  1. The administrator does the following:

    1. Open the account.

    2. Create a new Rule.

    3. Type a name for the rule.

  2. Under the IF section, add an event called Core - Click.

    1. Click Specific Elements.

    2. In the Elements matching the CSS selector field, enter the relevant CSS selector of the DOM element that is meant to trigger the call to Tag Manager.

    3. Save the Event settings.

    Note

    Note: Leave the Conditions section empty so Tag Manager will always fire without condition.

  3. Under Actions, add Core - Custom Code action.

    1. Select language JavaScript.

    2. Click Open Editor and paste the following code: (Replace DummyURL with any string that references the element being clicked.)

      versatagObj.onready(function() { versaTagObj.generateRequest("http://www.DummyURL.com"); });

    Note

    Note: Make sure that you communicate the selected string to the Sizmek team, so that they can set up the Tag Manager rule that fires the relevant conversion tag when the element is clicked.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Assign the new rule to the relevant Library and Environment .

  6. Follow the internal approval process within Launch to verify that the Tag Manager is fully approved and published to live status.
