Important

Important: When you create an account, the values that you define for account settings are passed as defaults to the levels below; however, you can modify these settings at each level. Account settings that you modify after the account is set up are not passed to subsequent existing levels.

The following sections describe the main Account Setup fields.

General Settings

Field

Description

Account Types

Determines the options available to users in the account.

The following account types are available:

  • Campaign Management: An account that runs campaigns. This account type is always defined as a paying account. Permitted users can set up advertisers, brands, and campaigns.

  • Creative Management: An account that creates ads. Permitted users can create ads and then assign the ads to campaigns, advertisers, and Campaign Manager accounts.

  • Paying Account: A paying account covers ad serving fees as well as other premium features.

Settings

The selected account type determines the tabs that appear in the Settings section. For example, for a Creative Management account, Regional and Video settings are displayed.

Billing

Billing settings are mandatory for paying accounts.

Regional

Field

Description

Default Time Zone

Campaign Setup

Field

Description

Trafficking Mode

Enables you to select the attachment process to use in campaigns under this account. The following options are available:

  • Simple Mode:Use this flow when you have single ads in each placement, or when you have multiple ads that can be rotated evenly. If you select this option, you attach placements to ads without creating delivery groups and the ad rotation method is even distribution. For more information, see Traffic Your Campaign in Simple Mode .

  • Advanced Mode: Use this flow when attaching multiple ads to placements and defining rotation settings. This option is mandatory when using targeting or retargeting features. If you select this option, you attach placements to the delivery groups that you created. For more information, see Attach and Work with Delivery Groups and Placements.

Stop Serving Method

Determines the serving option to implement after campaigns under this account end. This can occur in these cases:

  • The number of impressions that were ordered is met.

  • The campaign end date is reached.

Note

Note: If a delivery group is set to include a default image, when stop serving is applied, the default image of the regular ad is served. If a delivery group is set to include a default ad, when stop serving is applied, the default image of the default ad is served.

Video

Field

Privacy

Field

Description

Cookies

Determines whether to disable cookies and tracking capabilities for campaigns and placements in this account.

Note

Note: If you select this check box, some delivery group serving logic capabilities, (such as sequencing, frequency capping, retargeting, and state-based rotation) and reporting capabilities (such as counting unique impressions, and path to conversion) won't work anymore.

Ad Choices Icon

AdChoices Icon

Enables your consumers to control behavioral based consumer data, otherwise known as OBA (Online Behavioral Advertising). For example, if the user does not want a specific advertising vendor to have access to their tracking cookies, they can click the AdChoices icon in the ad, and either go through youronlinechoices.com or aboutads.info and opt out from tracking cookies of that specific vendor. This allows the consumer to define their own privacy preferences, including tracking of behavioral advertising information. The user can opt-out of tracking, including targeting and other tracking cookies by Sizmek.

Sizmek supports all regional AdChoices organizations in the USA, including DAA (Digital Advertising Alliance’s ), and in Europe, including NAI (Networking Advertiser Initiative) and IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau).

Regulation Program

Determines which regulation program to associate with the AdChoices icon. The regulation program you select depends on your country's regulations.

Marker Click-through URL

Enables you to enter a URL for a landing page if you want the consumer to arrive at a landing page after clicking the AdChoices icon.

Note

Note: If this field is empty, the consumer is redirected to a consumer page for the selected self-regulation program. Advertisers can choose to use their own landing page or privacy policy.

Account Extensions

Important

Important:

  • This feature is protected by the following permission: Allow Account Extension

  • Account extensions should only be set up by Sizmek Support.

Sometimes users need to access additional accounts other than their native account, for example, agency groups and networks may require access to several accounts.

Extending an account enables you to select other accounts to which you want to allow users access. Once the additional accounts are set up on the account level, users can be given access to these accounts. Then, they can view both the native and extended account and perform actions according to their permissions. For more information, see Manage User Access .

Contacts

Contacts enable campaign participants to receive relevant email notifications about the campaign. For more information, see Campaign Contacts and Email Notifications.
