You can create an in-stream audio ad using either the DAAST or VAST format. The format type depends on the site's media player; not all media players consume DAAST, but many advertising-enabled media players support VAST audio ads. AAS supports VAST 2.0, 3.0, and 4.1 audio ads.
Digital Audio Ad Serving Template (DAAST) and Video Ad Serving Template (VAST) are templates defined by the IAB to standardize the delivery of audio ads, which are played on a publisher’s player, across sites.
Important
Important: Before you begin, make sure that you verify the site's audio ad-ingestion capabilities with your Customer Success Manager.
If you need to provide a VAST ad, see About in-stream video.
Since this format is a simple audio file, it does not require any template. To build the ad, upload the audio file, and then set up your ad in AAS.

Maximum duration |
None |
The publisher or the media technology (for example, DSP) determine the maximum duration. IAB recommendation: 30 seconds. |
|
Maximum size |
1 GB This is a theoretical limit. Try to optimize the file size to be as lightweight as possible. |
While AAS In-Stream ads support a wide range of file formats and can be up to 1GB, ads must also follow the specifications of the publishers or DSPs that will ultimately run the ad. |
