BillboardBillboard is an advanced ad format that includes Rich Media Banner capabilities and has two states:
Expanded state, billboard, with a close button.
Collapsed state, left behind, with a show ad button.
Note
Notes: Some websites do not require these states and the ad unit is commonly called a Masthead.
If your ad is a Masthead and must be responsive, we recommend building a Deluxe banner.
If your ad is a Masthead and must not be responsive, we recommend building a Standard banner or a Rich Media banner.
Please check the required outcome with your media agency and the publishers.
The Billboard format can remember its last expanded state and share this state with other responsive Billboard ads in a placement, if customized to do so (using the Frequency Capping and mdLocalStorageName
variable).
Note
Note: If your ad does not need to remember the last state, we recommend building a Pushdown ad. For more information, see About Pushdown ad.
Note
Note: This format is not supported in unfriendly iFrames.
