Overview

The Ad Builder is a creative authoring tool that enables you to build HTML ads directly in Amazon Ad Server (AAS). Ad conception and animation does not require any coding knowledge. You can start with a blank ad or create a new ad using built-in templates, which are based on the most commonly used ad formats in the industry.

Guidelines

  • Ad Builder is compatible with the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.

  • HTML ads are available immediately in AAS when you create and save your ad in Ad Builder.

  • It is mandatory to configure a default image for each ad prior to saving the ad. The default image is limited to 300 KB.

  • The size of an HTML ad is the total size of all assets in the ad’s workspace, at the compressed size.

    • This includes images, the largest video, fonts, JavaScript files, HTML files, and any other files.

    • We do not count additional assets for dynamic creative or videos. For more information, see Add dynamic elements to your HTML ads using Ad Builder.

    • Compression is automatically applied, which reduces the size of each asset type to the compressed size.

  • When building a standard banner, only the following components will be available : Image, Text, Hotspot, HTML, Button, and Shape. For more information, see Create a standard banner in Amazon Ad Server Ad Builder.
