This component allows you to use headings and short descriptions to convey a rich and strong message in your ads. Ad Builder supports a wide range of fonts and text settings.

Procedure
  1. In Ad Builder, from the Components pane, click Text.

  2. In the Properties pane, configure the relevant settings.

Properties

The following table describes the fields that you can modify.

Field

Description

Text

Defines the name of the component instance and the associated layer.

W and H

Defines the dimensions, width and height, of the component instance.

X and Y

Defines the positioning of the component instance on the stage.

Rotation

Defines the rotation angle of the component instance.

Show on Load

Determines whether to show the component instance as soon as the ad displays, or to hide it (for example, to show the instance later in the animation).

Opacity

Determines the opacity (transparency) of the component instance.

Font

Defines font type, size, color, and style.

Add Custom Font From

Determines whether to add an additional font (TTF or WOFF) to the Font Family list. You can do one of the following actions:

  • Import additional web fonts from Google or Adobe fonts CDN.

  • Select the font directly from your Assets Library in Amazon Ad Server (AAS).

  • Select the font directly from your desktop.

Once the font is uploaded, it is added to the text editor and to the Font Family list. Then, you can select the font anywhere in the ad.

Note

Note: Fonts that you choose to upload might require a font license. You must verify that you have the appropriate licenses. Amazon Ad Server is not responsible for any misuse or lack of font licenses.

Scrollbars

Determines which scrollbar to add in cases where the content of the text is larger than the predefined text area. The following options are available:

  • None: No scrollbars are added. This is the default option.

  • Horizontal Scroll: Adds a horizontal scrollbar to the text.

  • Vertical Scroll: Adds a vertical scrollbar to the text.

  • Both: Adds a horizontal and vertical scrollbar to the text.

Label

Describes the content of the text field.

Dynamic Element

Allows you to convert the component instance into a dynamic element. For more information, see Introduction to dynamic creative.
