In-Stream VAST Dynamic Creative Ads allows you to leverage Dynamic Creative capabilities in order to serve videos in scale to specific audiences.

Amazon Ad Server (AAS) supports building Dynamic Creative VAST ads with multiple versions. The process involves uploading multiple videos in bulk as external assets to the Assets Library, and then manually creating an ad, assigning versions with related videos, and serving multiple versions of the ad simultaneously.

Setting up In-Stream VAST Dynamic Creative Ad

Procedure
  1. Create your DCO video assets as external assets in the Assets Library.

Important

Important:

  • Disabling a dynamic ad removes all the dynamic creative capabilities and the versions. This process is irreversible.

  • Video auto-transcoding does not run on video assets on the version level.

  • Only one 3rd party impression tracking URL can be assigned to each version. In order for this to fire properly an ad-level impression event needs to be defined, otherwise the version-level URL will not fire. When ad is served the version-level URL will override the ad-level URL if it's defined; otherwise the ad level URL will fire.

  • Multiple 3rd party click tracking URLs are allowed, both at the ad level and version level. An ad-level click-through URL should always be defined, even when version-level click-through URLs are being used.
