  3. Select the folder in which to upload assets. The default folder is the Ad Creation Wizard from the Assets Library.

  4. Do one of the following actions:

    • Drag files or browse for files from your local folders.

    • Select existing assets from the Assets Library.

Note

Note: Ad Creation Wizard has a folder limitation of 5000. If the user has more than 5000 folders, an error message will appear stating "Some of the asset files could not be uploaded because they are not valid files."

HTML/Static image ads

You can use the Ad Creation Wizard to create HTML ads, or image-based ads (.jpg, .png, .gif).

Note

Note: Image-based ads can be up to 300 KB.

Preparing your HTML ad

Please note these important points when building HTML ads using a workspace:

  • Name your default images Default, Fallback, or Backup to ensure that AAS automatically assigns those images as Default Image.

  • Ad Creation Wizard names the ads from the selected file (zip or image). For example, if you want your ad to be named Standard Banner 300x250, the zip file or image file should have the same name.

  • Keep your default image to less than 300 KB.

How do I indicate the ad format?

  • If your workspace is less than 300 KB, it will automatically be classified as a standard banner. You can change the format in the setup.

  • If your workspace is greater than 300 KB, it will automatically be classified as a rich media banner. You can change the format in the setup.

  • If you are uploading other formats, such as deluxe banner, we recommend using the Format ID field, (adFormatId), populated in the config.js file. This ensures that the Ad Creation Wizard knows exactly for which format you are using the workspace.

All Amazon Ad Server workspace templates have the adFormatId field populated. If you are coding your own ad, you might want to populate this field in order for the Ad Creation Wizard to recognize the correct format.

The following table includes the format IDs, (adFormatId), that you need to populate in the config.js file when you want the Ad Creation Wizard to automatically recognize the format you are building.

Procedure
  1. In the Ad Creation Wizard, do one of the following actions:

    • Drag files or browse for files from your local folders.

    • Select existing assets from the assets library.
